Q. How do I pay for my electricity? A. The electricity bills come every two months.The cost is divided equally between the students sharing an apartment. If bills are left unpaid the balance will be deducted from your deposit.
Q. How are roommates allocated? A. If you have a friend you wish to share with, Hawthorn Village will endeavour to accommodate you as best as possible, please clearly mark details on application form at the time of application. Roommates are allocated on the basis of sex, academic year, course and age. We'll do our best to faciltate all requests.
Q. Do I have to leave at Christmas and Easter? A. No, the room is exclusively yours for the duration of the academic year (lease term is 38 weeks).
Q. What happens if I pay for accommodation and fail to be offered a place in G.M.I.T? A. In the case where a student has paid for accommodation and fails to be offered a place at GMIT the amount will be refunded.

Q. Is insurance for my belongings provided by Hawthorn Village? A. There is currently no mandatory insurance.
